What I learned from the class
I thought I would elaborate a bit on my previous post.
First, I will definitely be able to use many of the instructional design concepts in my own work. I especially liked the chapters on evaluations. I am currently in the process of doing an evaluation of my current literacy program and I will be submitting the evaluation to a software company, asking them to donate some software to help my program. Whether I get the software or not, the project is a great way to exercise what I have learned. My ID project took focus of a small lesson on SmartBoard functions and features. It was almost too brief as I just felt I was leaving too much out. Now I will follow through the entire instructional design process again, only this time I will cover my entire literacy program. Not only will I use skills developed in this class, but I will also incorporate skills from other classes as well. That is truly what makes this exciting is when you can bring it all together.
